Class Schedules
Each
class listed runs on the same day and time until class is complete. When
selecting your class please plan to attend each session on the same
day through the last day of class. Although each session should
be attended, missing one class will not harm your dog's education. Depending
on the time of year there may be a skip date because of holidays. You,
your dog and, if you wish, other family members will attend each
class, learn every session. Please review the class descriptions, dates, pre-requisites
and class requirements listed after class description.
When
you have chosen your class, please either call the Center @ 775-828-0748 to
sign up, or e-mail Dale
Rands, ABCDT or PJ Wangsness,
CPDT include your class choice, dog's name, your name, phone number &
email address. We will e-mail you a confirmation for your class selection,
information for what you'll need for your class and a Dog
History form you will need to complete, sign and bring to your first class.
Should
you reach our voicemail it is either after hours or we are on the training
floor. We will return your call promptly or as soon as we are able. We are
here to assist you, if you wish, you may come talk
to us at various locations throughout the community. Please leave your
name,dog's name, daytime and evening phone numbers along with your class choice.
We will e-mail or mail by snail mail the necessary documents to attend class.
If you need us to snail mail, please provide us with your mailing address.

Our
class sizes are limited therefore, to ensure your selected class, early registration
is recommended.

SCHEDULE
September 2010 - December 2010
At Dog
Training by PJ we offer weekday-daytime classes (listed in italics,)
evening classes and weekend classes.
Our schedules are designed to accommodate your training needs. Our certified trainers/instructors are available
for private training or consultations at your home, if a class doesn’t “fit
your schedule.”
We offer
classes at four locations to best serve you. Dog Training by PJ, 5303 Louie Lane, Reno, is our indoor training center;
it is climate-controlled with sanitized concrete floor for puppies safety. Additionally, we offer classes at Scraps Dog Company, 6120 Mae Anne Ave (northwest Reno) for your convenience
Dog
Training by PJ is proud to now offering classes in association with Lake
Tahoe Humane Society and S.P.C.A. at the Recreational
Center in So. Lake Tahoe. http://laketahoehumaneandspca.org/

Lake Tahoe classes.
Additionally, the REAL WORLD and OUTDOOR
ADVENTURE classes meet throughout the community; the first location is provided
when registered for the 3rd Level class. You must have graduated a 2nd level class (or equivalent)
to join Real World or Outdoor Adventure.

ADOPTED SHELTER DOGS RECEIVE "FREE TRAINING"
FREE one hour training
session offered by Dog Training by PJ for recently adopted puppies or dogs
with proof of adoption from the shelter and shown to Certified Pet Dog Trainer.
You and your dog are invited to attend this SCHEDULED hour FREE. Learn how
to integrate your new family dog into your home, receive some training tips
and get answers to your questions. If you are unable to attend this FREE scheduled
hour, our trainers are available weekly throughout the community. For additional
information, please visit the Come
Talk To Us page (please note, it is not necessary for your dog to attend;
at the local stores, we provide consultations, but not “training.”) Location

GROWLY
& FEARFUL DOG CLASS
After careful
consideration, we at Dog Training by PJ believe we can assist you better with
your dog-dog reactive dog through private, one-on-one sessions. In a group environment it would be necessary
for dogs to wear muzzles for safety. However,
a private session the muzzle is generally not mandatory and eliminates the
necessity to
de-sensitize your
dog to wear the muzzle.
The gentle leader
however is usually required with a 6-foot leash.

the Fernley Animal Care Clinic 9:30am - 10:30am, please call 775-750-3306

On the 1st Sat of every month we offer free training for all adopted dogs from the Lyon County Animal Shelter. Training
provided from 11:30am-12:30pm at the softball field near the library just
